In a stirring speech delivered at the Bunkpurugu Senior High Technical School Park, Hon. Joseph Louknaan, the District Chief Executive, commemorated Ghana’s 67th Independence Anniversary with a call for unity and peace among citizens.

Hon. Louknaan emphasized the importance of democracy as a source of pride for Ghana, citing the nation’s 32 years of uninterrupted multi-party democracy and successful elections since 1992. He highlighted the upcoming December elections as a pivotal moment, urging political parties and supporters to maintain discipline and uphold democratic principles.
The District Chief Executive also underscored the role of education in driving development, announcing significant strides in improving teaching and learning in local schools. Notably, the absorption of Presbyterian Senior High School and Bimbagu Senior High Technical School into the public school system promises enhanced support and resources for these institutions.
Furthermore, Hon. Louknaan outlined various infrastructure projects initiated by the District Assembly, ranging from school buildings to electricity and water projects, aimed at improving the quality of life for residents.
