The District Chief Executive of the Bunkpurugu/Yunyoo District in the Northern has confirmed that, a radio station by name LOM COMMUNITY RADIO with the frequency 94.7 have been established, and its currently on test transmission, the DCE made this known on 13th of November 2012.
Hon. Philip N. Laari, revealed that, the Radio station is established for the purpose of Peace, Unity/Love and Development, etc of our communities in the area, it is a fact that one other significance of radio is to inform, Educate and entertained the entire people in the District.

I wish to thanked H.E President John Mahama, NCA and National Security who gave approval to our application to establish a community radio. DCE added.

Hon. Philip Laari, explained that, NCA and National Security will be coming for a final inspection and authorisation to operate full time community radio.
He was however most grateful to NCA for the quick release of the frequency which is 94.7mhz since 2010.

It is important to state that, Lom Community Radio will serve the interest of the entire communities and its members within and outside the District, no matter your party affiliation or where you come from. Hon. Philip Laari, noted.

My Office is widely opened for partnership in peace building and any development agenda that will benefit the good people of my District.
The Assembly will soon meet with the security and chiefs in the area, to develop a peace building action plan that will restore total peace in all the areas with dispute using a dialogue means. The radio will run a lot of peace building advocacy using national peace council and our local peace council.
We are working had to ensure that, the whole area is very peaceful before December 7th general elections. DCE promised.
