The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has held a police-community engagement dialogue in Pagnatik, a border community in the Bunkpurugu District. The event aimed to foster trust and cooperation between the police and local communities, emphasizing the importance of reporting suspicious activities.

The dialogue session saw the participation of traditional leaders from neighboring communities, including Kinkangu, Namoar, and Gbetmunpaak. These leaders played a crucial role in the discussions, which focused on enhancing the relationship between the police and the community.
In an interview with Mr. Zangina Wilbaforce, the regional director of NCCE, he highlighted the significance of the engagement. He stressed that building trust between the police and community members is essential for ensuring that residents feel comfortable reporting suspicious movements or individuals. Mr. Wilbaforce also called on traditional authorities to remain vigilant and promote a peaceful coexistence between the police and the community.
The dialogue session is part of ongoing efforts by the NCCE to strengthen community policing and improve public safety in border areas. By encouraging open communication and collaboration, the NCCE hopes to create a safer and more secure environment for all residents.
The participants expressed their commitment to supporting the police and fostering a culture of vigilance and mutual respect.
