The National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA) conducted a stakeholders’ engagement session with media personnel at the Volta Serene Hotel on May 14th and 15th. This initiative aimed to educate and gather input on the new Secondary Education Curriculum set to launch in the 2024/2025 academic year.

The engagement is part of NaCCA’s comprehensive strategy to integrate media engagement nationwide, enhancing communication and implementation activities. Key presentations were delivered by Deputy Director General of NaCCA, Matthew Owusu, and Director for Curriculum, Mr. Reginald Quartey. They were supported by Professor Jonathan Fletcher, Key Curriculum Advisor for T-TEL, Akwasi Addae-Boahene, Chief Technical Advisor for T-TEL, and Professor Eric Anane, Key Advisor on Assessment for T-TEL.
Discussions during the event centered on the progress in curriculum development, assessment strategies, subject combinations, and their implications for entry requirements. Media personnel praised NaCCA’s initiative and pledged their support for the communication efforts.
This engagement highlights NaCCA’s commitment to ensuring the successful rollout and widespread understanding of the new curriculum across the country.
